P0598 - it just never ends, huh?

Hi guys, i have just replaced VCG and CCV kit, installed throttle body gasket, Intake Elbow (was not bad actually) and cleaned Mass AirFlow sensor while I was at it, p171/174 stopped showing up but in a few days, in the morning, just as I start the X, SES lights up, according to Torque, it is P0598 code, anyone has any idea what it is/how to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance.

I still have O2's sensors, while exsisting ones seem to operate, I read that they become lazy with time, should I throw them in? Car @ 125k miles.

Had this on my E39 - replaced my TStat. It's got a heater element in it, they go bad.

P0598: open or short thermostat heather control circuit. Check the connections.

I usually replace them at 100k miles as preventative maintenance

Stay away from those Wing Wang cheap thermostats on eBay and Amazon. Replace it with an OE or OEM Thermostat.

Check the electronic connector on the T-stat housing and make sure it clips all the way in. I think it wasn't make good enough contact. Did you disconnect it when working on the car?

Roman D 11-27-2015 01:28 PM
