run flat tire

can i install run flat tire on x5 e53 ? i remember reading somewhere that run flat tire can only be mount on car with TPMS or something like that

Run flats can be installed on standard wheels as mentioned.

The reason it is said to pair run flats with TPMS is because without TPMS you may not notice you have a puncture. Run flats are only designed to run a certain distance and at limited speeds without air.

Be aware also that run flats tend to be stiffer and heavier than standard tires and the difference can be felt in the car.
