I believe my Thrust Bushing and Wishbone Control Arms are going bad....?

I havent checked them out but I have the issue when hitting a speed bump or coming to a sudden stop clunk. Ill probably check it out this weekend as Im still waiting for parts for my failed water pump but besides that I have a question regarding parts.....

Should I replace the entire arm or should I purchase just the bushing and is it hard to replace them using hand tools?

For the wishbone control arm theres a ball joint which i could replace but would probably be better to have a press and considering the hassle should I just replace the entire arm?

As for brands...what should I stay with oem? I was looking at the performance urethane mounts but not sure if i want to go that route? OEM is a bit up there in pricing and theres other brands that are just as good like Febi or Meyle. Just wanted your thoughts.

Thanks

Unless you have a hydraulic press buy the bushings preinstall in the arm.

The bushings can be replaced with hand tools....

Meyle HD or Lemforder is just fine as an OEM replacement - replace the ball joint that is on the opposite end of the thrust arm, and the wishbone control arm as well since they are probably worn.

Front Sway Bar Links
Tie Rods
Ball Joint
Thrust Arm
Control Arms (wishbone)

Those items all will need to be addressed by 100k if they are original

What press is that? Is that using air? I was thinking more of a manual hand tool. I dont believe the wishbone ball joint can be replaced so I think my only option on that is to replace the entire arm. As for he thrust arm that bushing can be so thats the one I was thinking of using a hand tool type like the one harbor freight had. I know I know its harbor freight but figured it should work.

Thanks Ricky....
X has over 200k hoping it was addressed but I really doubt it has. So Ill probably change those out for good measures.

Any places you would recommend to get these for reasonable?

That's a hydraulic gear puller which can be purchased at Harbor nFreight for a little over 100 bucks. It is manually operated, like a hydraulic jack.

12 Ton Hydraulic Gear Puller
