Browsing ls swap for a different vehicle we have i decided to look at the old x5 videos i found with a ls2. Found this new video uploaded 2 weeks ago...

I dont agree with how the car is done (looks to be purely for offroad type), however if i can retain all stock gauges+interior (which seems to be 100% possible looking at the e39 swaps) and no holes in my hood, this project just got added to my future list. I wonder now what type of power its capable of with that monster turbo.

Seeing as you are in a 4.8is already though, what are your thoughts on just supercharging your existing motor instead?

Found more vids and specs! The way this setup is done is pretty damn cheap. And to supercharge the 4.8 is 8k minimum, for less power then this not to mention to fix all seals and valve stem seals on mine. Can most likely get all this done for under 8.

Speaking of supercharging, what are the current options in that regard for 4.8is?

Just curious, but how much more effort would it take to get it to be all wheel drive with an LS swapped motor and 6speed. Is that even possible?
