Boardmonitor pinouts to BM54 Radio Module
 

I have a 2000 BMW X5 4.4i w/factory MKIV DVD Navigation + 16:9 Boardmonitor.

Behind the dash is the X18801 (12 pin blue) connector:

Wondering how they terminate to the newer generation 40-pin connector on the BM54 radio tuner module under the spare tire in the trunk. The plug looks like this:

I know 12V Direct and GND are available at many points throughout the vehicle.

So turns out I actually have the old style round pin 17-pin connector since my build date is prior to 10/2001:
