Style 87 Wheel Refurbishing Color
Okay so I am at the point where I am going to be sending in my Style 87 wheels and have them refurbished. Anyway I would like to have the wheels painted in a sliver metallic that is like a smoked silver vs the original bright silver. My 4.6is has a black exterior so I do not want it to be a dark black wheel or dark titanium. I still want the wheel to standout from the body of the vehicle. Can anyone recommend a color of silver that has more of a smoked shade to it and if so pictures to help? I must admit that after I clean my wheels and vehicle I love the way the front wheels look with a little dusting of brake pad matter after one day of driving. Anyway looking for suggestions. Thanks

E39 M5 shadow chrome color. Look great on blk car and still contrast with the car color.

^I was going to suggest chrome shadow myself. Sounds like what you are looking for.

Just be aware, very few shops truly know how to do shadow chrome. If you look on M5 board, you'll see a few that shipped their wheels to a shop in California if I'm not mistaken. Those guys know what they're doing. I love the finish myself and would have done it if I trusted anyone around here but shipping my 20's killed it for me and I went with a local shop finished in BMW Silver powdercoat.
