X5 3.0i is coolant mixing with engine oil through corrosion in cylinder walls?
 

Hi All,

I was pulling my head off of my 2002 BMW X5 3.0i engine, trying to resolve coolant flooding into the engine oil, and engine oil into the coolant, and I noticed the visible cylinder walls had corrosian that appears to possibly be holes. Has anybody ever heard of something like this? Or is it likely just corrosion?
