Leaky, misty hydraulic reservoir
My Indy told me that if your hydraulic reservoir is misting and leaking around
the top portion, it's a sign of a dirty/clogged filter. Yes, I know that the oring on the lid can and does leak. I tried a new oring, still leaking. Today I installed a new reservoir. Waiting a few hundred miles to see if it's still dry. Anyone else hear be clogged filter theory? |
Yes. It's part of the reservoir. Put a sock over it to protect engine from most. But honestly, even new, they will mist because the cap has a vent hole.

I don't have much of a problem with misting at all. Make sure that the reservoir isn't overfilled - stick a wadded up piece of cotton in the vent and it will let the air out but won't mist the fluid

Yea neither do I since I swapped it.
