Any DIY threads for H&R lowering kit?

Gang,

Looking for any DIY install guides for installing the H&R lowering kit, I've searched and searched but can't seem to find any. This pertains to my 4.6is with rear air suspension.

I'm not necessarily too concerned with the front, as it's a spring swap and I've done many. I'm mainly interested in the procedure for installing the rear link adapters, and any special procedure(s) I need to do with the self leveling aspect of the rear after the front is dropped?

Thanks in advance.

Brian

Brian nothing special to do. Just replace your rear self-leveling link with the one that H&R places in the kit. This tells the computer to let out some air out of the the air springs to match the lowering springs on the front of the X5. The link is adjustable so you can play with it to reach your desired drop to match the front. Its a piece of cake not worth a DIY write-up. Its just change/swap and thats it.

They replace the factory links on the leveler. If you look underneath the rear of the X5 you will see a small box with a lever arm attached to it. The replacment of this lever arm with the H&R link is all that is needed.
