Very nice job. I suck at sanding things. They always look good and then paint goes on and they look like ass.

Short term result......definitely in the prep.

Long term result.... the paint itself. Lacquer is old news and (in my understanding) not as durable as the newer urethane paint. May get scratched or yellowed more easily. More expensive = better quality in general.

Most of the "over the counter aerosols" designed for this sort of stuff is now enamel I believe. Much more durable than a lacquer. Those wheels still looked like just like that after a couple years until the body shop messed them up. I was going to redo them but instead put BBS weaves on it.
