I think I may have pulled out oil cooler line.

So I have been going through my second re manufactured alternator when I may have pulled the hose out of the block. I believe I went wrong by tightening the hose support bracket before tightening PS pump. Of course upon a perfect start up it dumped the oil. Any tips on getting the hoses in properly would be appreciated

What year and engine?

Oh man. You mean the hoses going to the alternator housing bracket.

Wow, that sux. I don't know if you can reach them from the top, I know you can't even see it from the top.

I suggest taking off the cross brace (aka, the aluminum plate of death), the plastic, and the alternator. You should be able to see it from the bottom. Good time to change those little O rings that are supposed to be on the lines.

I broke the cylInder looking thing off the block.

What this?

Or the plastic shit that holds the two hoses together, the slightly grayed out part in the linked image.

Number one....

Yea, you will need to take off your alternator again, and your approach will be from the bottom. There are two bolts holding it in place. I suggest you replace those O-rings while you are there.

And 2 of number 3 here.

It is not as bad as doing the alternator housing bracket, so you won't have to remove the diff or anything like that. Access will be a bitch though.

Already got the alternator and PS out of the way. Clear shot from wheel well after PS lines removed

Cool. Just go visit your dealer and get new parts.
