Replaced this pesky tensioner pulley today - 65mm x 21mm (x 17mm hole).
Part I used was labelled 2187-ST2. Had to remove the A/C belt, then the tensioner pivot arm retainer bolt (M6) on the rear of the tensioner assembly, then slide the tensioner out far enough to get at the axle bolts (24mm rear and 16mm front). These axle bolts had been assembled using loctite and I should have probably heated the bolts before removal. Once the old pulley was off, I was left with this: - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...psk0pglyha.jpg I wasn't able to slide the tensioner arm completely out because it wouldn't clear the fan shroud, so I worked on it in place. Here's all the parts, old pulley on the left, new one on the right: - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...psdq9edlpk.jpg New one installed (using Loctite 243 on the axle bolts) along with the A/C belt: - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...psvercqvgg.jpg Did the Oil Service too (Castrol Edge 5W-30 A3/B4) - boy, do diesels ever make the oil dirty!! :yikes: Ticking off another task - the list is slowly getting shorter... |
Hi. Strange that you have 65 mm wheels, all wheels in me car are 70mm and it is build 1. april 2003. I took the fan off and the schrouder off then it was good asses to the wheels and the belts.
