iBus connector harness
4 Attachment(s)
Hi all.
I want to make an IBus connector harness for a 3rd party device I wish to add, and instead of just splicing into the wires, I'm looking to make a Y adapter basically to connect into the male connector (which has 3 female pins). I could easily add this harness in near the CD changer in trunk as wiring would be concealed easily. I need 2 connectors with their pins/wiring and figured I could get them from a junked BMW... So having said that, I know where the male connector with three female pins is in the vehicle to cut, but what about the female connector with 3 male pins... where would that be hiding in the vehicle? I assume there should be one somewhere other than built INTO a module/device... see pics to perhaps understand better. |

well since I can't erase this thread, I may as well show the final product I made last night after sourcing the parts form my local awesome Indy mechanic.

Old thread I know but AVIN is now supplying the harness with pretty much what you've done here.
Comes with the iBUS pre-tapped and all wrapped up nicely in friction tape. |
