Front turn signal bulb color?
 

I need to buy the replacement bulb for front passenger turn signal. What is the original bulb color, amber or clear?

I believe it's amber but I replaced mine with clear.

stock headlights its amber

I put blue led lights...very beautiful in the night

What model year? Pre face lift or facelift? I don't know what you have (there's no signature or model/model year info) so can't look up the diagram/part nbr. :dunno:

What is the color of the turn indicator lens? If it's clear...you'll need an amber bulb. If the lens is amber...you'll need a clear bulb. If it's both amber & clear...look up what bulb you require in the online part databases. :)

When I enter my VIN at bmwfans.info (or realoem.com) and pull up the diagram for the front turn indicator bulb (#18 in the diagram & part nbr index)...it indicates I require an S8 WEDGE 3157K bulb (in the supplemental column). If it said S8 WEDGE 3157AK then that would be an amber colored bulb. When I google the S8 WEDGE 3157K bulb...this is what I get:


The diagram and part nbr index based on my VIN gives me #18 for the front indicator for my 2006 X5 4.4:

Why not take the old bulb out and see what colour it is?

..........I want to have the new bulb ready since I have to slide out the headlight unit which isn't simple, in order to remove the old bulb.

buy amber. even if its an amber bulb color in an amber housing, it will just create a beautiful amber color, not weak amber, but a nice solid amber,
or buy both sets adn return the not needed set.

I think you mean gross amber.
