Help identify this part leaks oil
 

This part is on the front of my 3.0 it leaks oil but don't know what to call it

Looks like the valve cover gasket

Thought that but that sensor or solenoid has alot of oil

Degrease it all really well and then you will be able to see where the leak is originating. My bet is valve cover gasket as well though.

Is it your vanos line leaking?

Clean it like crystalwork suggested. Oil tends follow gravity and it looks like its running along the VC seam.

ill get to cleaning it! and find out

good ? dont know what a vanos line is

also this thing has been consuming and or leaking about 5 quarts in the past 3-4k miles

Wow... check your CCV system then. If it gets clogged it will blow out all sorts of gaskets.
