P0313 P1093 codes.
P0313 x2 : Misfire Detected with low fuel
P1093 Pre Cat Fuel Trim System too rich (Bank 2) I swear its been non stop issues with the x5 lately. Any ideas whats throwing these codes? I sofar have: cleaned the MAF & Air filter. Replaced the O Ring on the DISA valve and checked the functionality of the DISA which was still working good. Checked each of the coil packs and they're all functioning properly. I did change the spark plugs about 40k miles ago with NGKs and havent pulled them, but wouldnt think them being a major issue already? I could be totally wrong here, but I'm thinking one of the Pre Cat 02's may be bad and/or Fuel Pump/Filter bad/going? Or clean/replace the ICV |
Cleaning MAF is not always effective and must be done with MAF cleaner though MAF issues would not be only on one bank. Often your symptoms are associated with a vacuum leak and would troubleshoot that next. I would check the air intake tube for cracks. Sometimes you can find vacuum leaks in other locations but it may require a smoke test to be sure. You can try spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid in select places around the engine. If there is a vacuum leak the idle should increase. You can rent a fuel pressure tester at most chain type auto parts stores that will help pin down source of fuel delivery problem. You can swap the 02 sensors side to side to see codes go to other bank or at least check the connections. No misfire codes by cylinder? Have you noticed if the misfire is only on a cold start or is it all the time when fuel is low? I don't think you are at the point to draw a conclusion yet.

Thanks for the reply, ive been doing a ton of research and thinking back to when i had my 330ci (m54) which surprisingly didnt have nearly the amount of issues my x5 has been having. Overall the car drives fine, nothing major or noticeably wrong. Idle seems ok, though lately on occasion i've noticed a slight dip, but again nothing major. Also no misfire codes for any particular cyl. and ive been consistently checking on the fault codes.
Today I ordered: Can of BG44k (just want to run it through and see if it helps any) Lower intake elbow (looked at it while doing the DISA and did seem "dry" though no noticeable crack in it. But I'm going to be removing and cleaning the ICV (did this on my 330) and figured i might as well replace that lower intake elbow while im down there and who knows maybe cracked on the underside or somewhere i didnt notice. |

Did you fix your P1093= EC236???

Ever get fixed? I have the same problem with 2006 X5. Cleaned ICV and went away for a couple days. Wondering if I should replace the ICV or if something could be causing it to malfunction.
