Some pics of my rims installed!

Hey everyone, I was originally going to put the rims on in Spring, but I couldn't fight the urge, and installed them. I barely drive the X in winter, so I think I'll be ok.

Anyways, onto the pics! The car needs a drop badly. I'll be getting Intrax springs in February. :)

This is how I brought the rims to my shop, just thought it was a funny pic. It looks as if I'm kidnapping the rims, lol.

The rear wheels/tires look very beefy. I'm running 20mm spacers in the rear.

Next up for mods this year are:

1. Springs (Intrax 1.5" all around).
2. Paint the passenger side mirror, (Sister went grocery shopping, and someone stole the mirror cover, so I had to buy a new one).
3. New Brakes (StopTech Stage 2 upgrade) My brakes are worped from only 13k miles?
4. 4.6is kit.
5. Aluminum Running Boards with fender extensions.
6. Blackout Grill.
7. Eisenhaus Racing Exhaust.
8. AFE Intake.
9. Conforti Shark Injector.
10. Lighting upgrades (6000k D2S bulbs, HID fogs, LED front and rear turn signals, etc.).

Hope you all enjoyed the pics. I'm loving the X right now. :D

WoW! Those look awesome, & huge! Are they 22's? Not much sidewall there. How do they ride? Do you have spacers up front too? - looks a bit wide there too...

Schweet

benathon 01-24-2006 07:54 PM

Yep, 22x10.5 all around. They ride great, I was very surprised. The tires (Dunlop Sp9000) are great too, surprisingly quiet and comfortable. And I have 5mm spacers in front. :)

Sweeeeeet!!!!!! Your ACS and Wuzin's HRE are two of the nicest 22" I've seen. Congrats!

Damn, you're even more impatient than me. I usually put on the summer shoes sometimes in March.

Thanks bro, I can't wait to see your HRE's on. :)

rayxi 01-24-2006 08:10 PM

Looks sharp!
With 10.5 rims I wouldn't think you need spacers? What are the tire specs?

The tires are 285/30/22 all around. I didn't think I'd need them either, but now the rims are perfectly lined up with the body.

But 5mm spacers are negligible anyway.

Wagner 01-24-2006 08:57 PM

Marvelous! Those look great

Hey Dbock, one thing I hate about changing wheels is that I will have to change all the sig pics. ;)

X5Jay 01-24-2006 09:30 PM

Just lookin' at your pics again - I really like the look - especially how well you have them lined up with the body. I agree that it needs a drop, but I wouldn't go too far down with it - like in your photoshopped sig - I think that would ruin the ride for you. Nice job - looks like you have "the eye"...

X5Jay 01-24-2006 09:34 PM

BTW - I'm amazed at how well they fit in the back of your X - thought it would be much tighter... I always liked Dunlop tires too - have had a couple sets in the past on other cars - mixed reviews on them though - I thought they seemed really soft and didn't last very long. Perhaps that's what's helping your ride out a bit. Probably very sticky though!

TQ2K 01-24-2006 09:36 PM

Awesome!!! And I agree on the needed drop.

ChristopherM3 01-24-2006 09:47 PM

Dblock, looks good!!!! Nice job!!! Nice wheels can change the look completely, eh?

motordavid 01-24-2006 09:54 PM

vinuneuro 01-25-2006 02:08 AM

Very nice! It would be out of this world with the 4.6 kit.

powers1 01-25-2006 06:08 AM

Great looking wheels! Those Acs are one of my favourite looking wheels and the design seems to get better with age!I had these in 17" on my M3-E30 way back in 1992 and it looked awesome.
