Another 4.4 Self Leveling thread.
So... About a year and a half ago I replaced the bags because they were worn out. After driving a few miles the system reset and all was good to go. About 3 months later I got the message on the dash Self Leveling Inact...
Hooked it up to the computer, had a fault code for drivers side sensor. Ordered one from BMW, put it in, code and message never went away, but it acted normal, pumping itself up every once and a while and keeping the correct ride height. So I have just kept the wife driving it. The last week or so I've noticed it was riding a little low and riding rough.. Fuses are good, swapped the relay next to the pump etc, but can't get it to turn the pump on. Can anyone give me a picture or idea of where to put 12v to the pump to see if I can get it to turn on? |
You can't reactivate the system by just adding 12v to the compressor. It would come on but it won't inflate the bags. You'll have to reset the error through computer to get the whole system to work.
