Reactivate rear supension

I bought a X5 4.4 that had been sitting for awhile and the rear suspension is sagging. Before it sat I was told that the suspension was fine. Does anyone know a way to reactivate the air pump without using the BMW INP software? Mine software is on the the frits.

It might just be in rest mode. If there is nothing wrong with the system then take it for a drive, it should "wake up" efter a few minutes of driving. If the system was faulty then you have to reset using a software, any software that can communicate with the air suspension...there is no other way.

It's not clear so just asking (just in case)...have you turned the ignition on yet? The compressor should turn on to raise the rear to the correct height when the ignition is turned on to at least KL R or KL 15 (ignition position 1 or 2).

The system will distinguish between a "drive" and "load" state. So even if you are parked and the vehicle is loaded with heavy weight...the system will raise the rear end when the ignition is turned on to "compensate" in preparation for correct level in the "drive" state.

And again, you didn't mention anything as to if you started the vehicle to see if the compressor would activate...so I thought I'd ask just to clarify. :)

When I turn on the key at first I hear the compressor go on for a second or two and that is it.
