Wet Navigation unit HELP!
 

So I bought this 04 X5 cheap and I'm starting to figure out why. The Sunroof leaked in into the back where all the navigation and stereo stuff is. So everything in the back is junk but the CD Changer. My question is should just replace everything with some more modern. The Navigation unit and DSP Amp are no good. I did speak to someone who can rebuild them or has used stuff but when I'm done it will cost over a grand. Some advice would be great. The dash unit has big white spots on it as well.

Beyond economical repair.....unless you want OEM look!

Replace with Carplay or NBT.

NBT has better integration with I-Bus but expensive ...needs addtional coding on IKE...CID and I-drive mount fabrication .....and also GPS still buggy.


I'm about to ditch my NBT project and will go with Carplay.......I think....got all NBT parts and planning to sell later on.
