actually i did not follow your last paragraph, with regard to jacking / lowering the car
i lifted the car in a shop lift so all 4 wheels were up in the air
when i finished the install, i lowered the car all the way, it sat very low so i jacked it up halfway of normal height, reinstalled the fuses at the back for the self leveling then started the car it did not lift, turned it off for a few minutes then started it again, system kicked in and lifted the car
did i do it wrong ? how can i fix it?

the ride height control button flashes in the middle position only when attempting to rise or lower the car

thanx for the help

When you say "system kicked in", do you mean the compressor started or you just heard air being released into the bags?

yes the compressor started working and the car lifted up
the system had no air in it, the car was siting for 5 weeks waiting for the airbags to arrive, when i disconnected the air lines there was no pressure at all

Ok, so the car raised itself evenly on all corners? If yes then bags, sensors and compressor are all good. If no then the sensors need to be checked but BEFORE any further work...connect the car to a diagnostic software and erase all errors, reset and see if/what comes up.

The ivini bmw app is very useful in this case...you'll need a cable and android phone.

No worries. The app developer offers the cables also. Make sure to email them and they'll cofirm the best option for your car.
