Now I did it!

Well, after driving many cars for many years, my wife and I bought our first BMW. 2003 X5 3.0i, low mile, clean car. Pictures to follow.

I'm sure it will be an adventure. When I said that, my wife said she doesn't like adventures. haha

Looking forward to hanging out here and seeing what everyone else is doing with their X5s. First thing I need is some decent floor mats.

^The OE mats are about $100 if you like carpet - if you like the all weather rubber, about $80 - Good luck with it - stay on top of maintenance, they are great cars!

Thanks Ricky Bobby, If ya aint first yer last, right? ;-)

I'm thinking all weather floor mats. I have them in my truck and like them.

^I agree - to be honest after all these years I got sick of vaccuuming carpet mats that just get beat up anyway - I run OE mats in my car and my wifes car year round - when they are dirty I scrub them with a brush and some all purpose cleaner, rinse them down, and blowdry them with a leaf blower - so much easier.

These are the style I have

Oh, those are nice. They are from BMW?

Agree on the all weather mats, I pull my mats out of the truck, hose them down, scrub a bit with a mop, and let them dry while doing other things and they look like new every time.

Do you happen to know if BMW has a cargo mat as well? I was looking at the Weathertech stuff the other day and noticed they have one.

yes they do.

Yes they have a cargo mat to match I believe - if you have the non-load floor you have quite a few options for that one - and yes the ones I put the picture of are BMW OE mats

StephenVA 08-03-2016 10:43 AM

Ricky Bobby's mat are the OE soft rubber mats, while the WeatherTech mats are wider and cover more of the floor (on the rear they go over the hump for example) they are more like a resin plastic feel.

For the carpet ones look at www.bravauto.com Lloyds Ultimat floor mats for thick ones.

I personally just rotate my mats winter vs summer to always have a perfect clean interior.
