replacing power steering pump and high pressure hose?

has anyone here replaced their power steering pump on a 3.0I ,M54 . I have to do mine soon rattling and squealing pretty good at idle, when I take off its fine though. before anyone ask any questions I replaced alt, and all pulleys, also there is slight play in the pulley shaft side to side , not much at all but you can tell there is play there.I assume there is bearings around that shaft that are wearing out.

I've done this on my 4.4. Had leaks and some wobble. Replaced the pump with brand new LuK brand (about $250) pump and replaced all the hoses with Rein brand. LuK is the original manufacturer. Called around and no one rebuilt them or sold the seal kit.

So far so good. Got mixed opinions about Rein, but they are part of the same conglomerate as Pentosin (oils) and continental (hoses).

4.4 here. Clearly remember it was $200 USD....OE

About the time - wasn't too bad, probably 4 hours to do the pump and hoses, but that was on my 4.4. Remember struggling to get to one bolt. Finally rigid up a gear wrench and a socket with a low-profile adapter.
