A few images. Tried to find issue. Only issue I can find is the system is not working. Looking to find diagnostic equipment. I do not own a PC.
Deleted images as they were huge, and not helpful. |
The pics are waaaaay too large but if I see correctly (in the first pic) there is a small tear at the top of the airbag? As for the sensors they seem set in the right position but I can't be sure to the size of the pics.

Apologies to all on the image size, will correct that later. the rub mark is from sitting deflated, not a tear as best I can tell, no air left to leak out!
Taking it to an independent to see what is causing the issue. I am left with no other choice for diagnosis. |

Follow up, seems most people never post resolution just problems so here we go.
Called several indy shops to see if they could run a scan and let me know which portion of system was failing. Most were experts in vagary, not answering directly or playing the we'll see once its down here game. I was at my wits end. The help here was decent, as good as it could be given the online nature of trying to fix something on the net. Called another off road suspension specialist and asked if they would take a stab at it. They told me it was outside their genre. I asked if they had a place they would recommend. They sent me to Paddock in Denver. I really could not be more pleased with how I was treated and the level of expertise Paddock showed. they plugged me in and walked me thru the scan. Turns out the last Indy to look at the system set the ride hight to zero. My basic comprehension was that you can set a height, set it to self level, or just scan. Paddock set it to full height to test the bags. Once full height was achieved they set it to self level. Drove it home and will watch over next few days. Totally impressed. I have found a new Indy. |
Looks like it's time to pick up a PC and get some BMW specific software.

It's always nice to have a shop you can trust when you can't figure something out yourself.
If it's aired up and holding overnight, you're likely not going to have to fix anything. I just had one bag fail. Once I saw how much of the interior has to come out to get to them, I went ahead and did the other side. Wasn't a bad job to do, just somewhat time consuming. I think it took me about 5 hours. |
