Blown Shocks vs. New Shocks

Yes, both shocks are OEM. The new shock is Sachs Sport, not from the dealer though. They are much cheaper if not purchased from the dealer, only difference is lack of the BMW roundel on the part.

What is the average live of those ones in a X5?
There is a recommended time to change them? (They are quite expensive in Europe)

I feel like its probably 60k. Does anyone know what BMW says about life of shocks?

I can tell you the shocks on my wife's E46 started leaking at around 100k.

Thanks for the answers.
I had to change them last month with 181k km (just above 110k miles) on them. It looks like the 100k miles change point (as maximum) is a good advice.
I really don´t see a big difference in driving but at least I feel more secure now.
