I never buy from a vendor that don't have great rating. If that is the type of vendor you purchased the part from I would expect they will take care of you rather than risk a bad review.

Just put the truck up on the lift threw transmission in drive and let it run. Both transfer case and rear diff are noisy. I was hearing progressively louder noise above 40 mph now I know where it's coming from. Changing transfer case fluid right now to hopefully correct one of the problems.

Spoke with the vendor and they will exchange controller for the right one with me paying the difference.

Looks like I will have to change my right front and rear left wheel bearings because both of them have some play. I suspect that that's where the noise coming from above 40mph. That job will have to wait until October after my vacation.

Anyone have any idea where the vibration could be coming from? When I'm in D with brakes on I feel vibration and can hear vibration as well. Once I put transmission in nuetral it subsides. Also turning on AC amplifies it. Could be transmission or engine mounts? 2002 4.6is 77k miles.

I had to change my fuel pump and relay , it was a rough idle and cold starts where rough too.

It fires up and idles like a champ. What caused it were bad engine mounts and engine arm that was broken. Cost me $1100 to fix now runs smooth.

I went ahead and tasked a shop to replace wheel bearings but they called me telling me it's my tires that have cupping and my bearings are fine. So I've been driving for the last 7 months waiting for my tires to wear out. Other then that only my secondary water pump been getting loud nothing else is causing me any issues.i only have driven my x5 4K miles so far so I count it as a I win.

I'm new to the forum but it sounds like you may have a cv axle problem. Saw this he same issue in bimmerfest.
