Using car cover in snow for months at a time

I am trying to figure out what to do for the winter with my motorcycles. One solution is to put my 4.6is on the side of the house under a winter car cover. Not sure what brand yet.

Has anyone done this before? I prefer a car cover since I get sap falling in the spring by the many trees I have in my neighborhood. I have read that it can be better to not cover it and wax it really good, but then the sap happens.

BWM OE says its cover is for outdoor. Not sure that means snow on and off for 4 months.

The there is cover craft etc.

I did a search but prefer to hear from something recent, since experiences change and it is doubtful the old threads are going to be updated to reflect such.

Thanks in advance.

I imagine you get some pretty good snow over there in NY.

What is the longest you have left it covered during the winter?

How many motorcycles you have? I have one Triumph cruiser and we have a 2 car garage and I just park my bike horizontally at the front of the garage, plenty of room to pull the X in as well.

If you have multiple cruisers and a 1 car garage this may not be feasible.

I have 8 complete bikes and one in pieces in the corner. The rest of the pieces are in my house. They all just barely fit in the second car spot. Right now the 4.6is is there with my 545i. The silver cars stay outside. I mainly have late 90's/very early 2000's sport bikes.

nvm LOL - you obviously don't have the room - jealous of the multiple bikes!

Use this cover and you will be happy. Works great outdoors, sheets off water and snow. Soft against car finishes. I have them on three cars that are in the driveway during bad weather.

I would be equally concerned about how to keep the mice and critters out.

Oh, I use mice traps on the ground and under the hood. No issues after Dr Death gets them.
