Spare Key Fob Not Working
 

Hi there,

Just found my spare key for my X5. It works in the ignition and doors but the unlock and lock buttons don't work.

The key has never been used so i don't believe it would be damaged. From what I understand the key self charges when it is inside the ignition, however i've been using it for about a week and it still isn't working.

Has anybody had this issue before? Is it possible to change the battery inside the key?

Look up the re-initilzied procedure.You need to do both keys at once when you do the process.
