Just installed brand new genuine BMW style 177 wheels and new tires (free wheel porn)

Let's get something straight, I'm a wheel addict. There, I said it.

When I fall in love with some style, I'll search and search till I find best possible deal and then I have to have it.

While not exactly cheap, I generally buy brand new wheels from dealer and when and if I resell them few years later (as I recently did) I get top $ for I take good care of them.

I feel in love with these and realized they're somewhat rare here in US and there was none used sets out there and I'm strongly against aftermarket wheels as many of them weigh a ton, hard to balance and are questionable quality overall.

So I had to have these ordered from Germany as there were none in US and I also got set of Nitto Motivo tires for a great price. I've sold my style 87 wheels with same tires and I believe they're best tire out there for the money.

Another advantage when you buy OEM wheel is quality: One of the rear tires balanced out without any weights! First time I've seen that.

I also got brand new BMW valve stems and BMW logo caps courtesy of ECS Tuning and their gift card after they sent me wrong springs and insisted they're right til I proved them wrong.

This is the 2nd of OEM BMW wheels I got made by Cromodora Wheels S.P.A. They're made in Italy and this company makes many OEM wheels for top makes such as BMW, Jaguar-Land Rover, Daimler (Including AMG and Smart), Porsche, AUDI, Volkswagen, Skoda, and FIAT.

Those look delicious on the X5. Good choice. I am refurbing my oe style 87s in a slightly darker shade than the original silver to just give it a slightly different look.

Did you use any spacers on your new wheels? if so what size did you use?

Good thinking. Depending on color of the car, changing wheel color can have a nice effect.

These are genuine BMW and identical to style 87 in terms of offset and size. So no spacers, direct fit.

Very well. :wow::p:

Wheels look good OP. I've always liked that wheel. Rear could come out a bit, but OE offset is what you are limited to so... What is the rear offset? Same as the 168's?

Edit: Stupid Facebook requires you log in to view. LOL. Just another reason to hate that service... no more Takata "airbag" pictures. :nanana:

Yes, just as described in post #5. 87, 168 and 177 share the same offset and size.
I can still see those HIGH QUALITY Takata airbags and I'd never recall them:thumbup:
