what could be wrong now

hello to all
when i bought my x5 a few years ago it came with the trifecta lights
finally at the beginning of this year had module rebuilt yehaw sensor replace
and i was happy no more lights.well now the only issue is if i'm on wet leave or a sandy spot if i take off to quick meaning slight wheel spin the tricfecta light comes on WTF. if i turn the vehicle off for 1 minute then back on lights go away back to normal.any body ever experience this type of issue.??

Do your ABS kicks in when the wheels are slipping?

1iwilly 10-22-2016 08:43 AM

it seems the milli seconds it starts to spin the lights come on.abs only kicks in when trying to stop and i hit a spot that makes it skid. so to answer your question driving normal and stopping yes abs work normal.making wheel spin no abs doesn't kick in

That's normal for the light to come on when throttle is overriden during the DSC intervention.

Have you checked for codes?

1iwilly 10-23-2016 02:18 PM

Try this.

Clear EM and IM codes on INPA.

Then disconnect battery.....wait for 5 minutes.....reconnect battery.

Let us know how you go.

Hmmm....

It seems modules are fine but will not correct traction error.

You've got rebuilt ABS module and a replacement yaw sensor.

What about your Front and Rear wheel ABS sensors?

Link

Next step would also be tyres and wheel combo.

Anything else.........I have no clue.:dunno:

.

yes module was rebuilt yehaw+pressure sensor new
abs sensors NO been i never got a code for it=abs sensors when i check in inpa driving sensors show to be working fine.

I see the problem. You got the yehaw sensor versus the yaw sensor so your X5 now wants to scare the crap out of you dukes of hazard style. Big mistake!

No, really, it is likely a wheel speed sensor that is misbehaving sporadically. I have had this issue with my M5 where the right rear wheel speed sensor will cause a temporary trifecta. It happens especially if it gets wet.

Have any warranty on the module? In reading it sure sounds like a module issue.

1iwilly 10-31-2016 03:16 PM

that seems the way i'm leaning today i turn off the DSC found a road dirt slam on brakes abs still kicks in fine did a quick take off minor wheel spin lights came on even though the DSC was off. maybe if i have some one look at which wheel is spinning from take off then i can focus in that area. thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
