hid lowbeam source?
 

So its just a coincidence I took my X to get a state inspection done and they call me back saying my tie rod on the right side is broke or loose.
I heard a weird noise on the right side so they fix that. The next day I'm driving my X and I notice its getting dark but my green light on auto lights not working. So I switch to parking lamps which due to coding is just my angel eyes. I then switch to normal lolowbeams and it appears they both on now. I switch back to auto and they wont come on till I engage the fogs.

I get out I do a light test high beams work, fogs work low beams come on ad then when switched off the left side wont come back on in the auto position. What else do I test. I have HIDs as that what I says under the hood. I also have the lights that turn with the wheels. Who you guys go through for H7 lowbeams or that is not going to fix my problem?

They are factory lamps currently so they are at about 10 years old.

Check the illumination sensor.

If its not a bulb issue (you can check by swapping to the other side that always works...then it could be an issue with the "automatic" feature or the signs of a failing ballast.

The automatic feature uses a component called the ALC module. You can do a google search for BMW models that have adaptive headlights (like you've mentioned you have)...and "ALC"...and read through those threads to see if you have the same symptoms.

To add to the info above, you have D2S HID bulbs for low beams that are also your bi-xenon high beams.

A lot of people here get the more powerful Osram Nightbreakers from Powerbulbs, they have the best price IMO on proven legit not fake Nightbreakers

In this case I dont think the bulbs are the problem though.

I suggest following the troubleshooting suggestion above to swap parts side to side and hopefully narrow down the malfunctioning component. Quite a few parts could be causing that problem.
