Gauging interest for 2017 E53 X5 Calendar
 

If you'd be interested in one, plz reply to this thread. I'm about to do an E39 M5 calendar and would like to know if there's interest in one for our beloved X5 too.

When's the deadline for submission?

Dead line for submission is the end of November. It would take me about a week to do the layout. After that I will make a thread with the preview and taking order at that time. Pricing looking to be $20 ea. + $5 shipping in the US. I'll look into international shipping later.

1) The pics must be hi-res. Usually 4MB or larger will suffice. Just take them with a hi res camera and you should be fine.

2) The pictures need to be scenic. Urban, country, seasonal, whatever. Have something in it which accentuates the car like a cityscape, old country bridge or sunset. Just put something in it that you think other people would like. I would love to get a few pics from some seasonal settings like winter or fall. Pictures taken in your driveway or other similar settings don't count. Unless your house is picturesque, but oil stained driveways with uncut grass doesn't fit that profile. So think about your background which is as important as the car.

3) You need to send in AT LEAST 5 PICTURES for me to choose from. But feel free to send more but try to keep it under twenty.

4) Be creative. The best pic will get the cover which I will choose.

5) Please don't crop the pics down, leave that for me. Too many times I have a wonderful pic that someone has cropped down to the edges of the car and I can fit it to the page because their is no fill to go to the edges.

6) Cars can be anywhere from stock to highly modified. All are eligible.

7) You will need to send in contact info to me in case I have questions for you or need additional pics. An email of phone number will work.

8) Pictures should be sent to my email at [email protected] IF YOUR SUMBISSION BOUNCES BACK PLEASE RESEND IT, BUT BREAK UP THE PICS INTO MAYBE 2 - 5 PICS PER EMAIL.

End of November?! I better clean up the X5 and hit the canyons ASAP then :) I'll shoot for the nature/canyon category.

My E39 is set for LA city/urban this winter, but tis not an M5 :(.

Got 4 pages done so far. 2 Tit.Silvers, 1 Whites (Green Dragon) and 1 Black (DKing)
I'd like to have an Imola Red, Estoril/Leman/Topaz Blue.
Need at least 8 more X5s to make the calendar.

I'd love to contribute mine... but I'd need to detail it and go take pics. Not sure I have the time to get that done. :(

I'll go through my files and see if I have any that might work though.

Sent a few pics over. Not great, but the best I had in my library. Didn't have enough time to detail the X and take her out for a shoot. Would have liked to get some classic "in front of the Alamo" shots... but being an adult with a pregnant wife and a 2 year old has its drawbacks.

Got them, crystalworks. I can work with them.

Good deal. They are all completely unedited from the camera so I'm sure you can get them much better. A few were not focused exactly right, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with all of them. :thumbup:

^They are good. Yours is the first blue (any shade of blue) X5 for the Calendar. I'd like to get 1 more blue X5.

jopecasa, I don't think they are member here. Even though they are nice example, the pictures has low-res and won't look nice when printed. Unfortunately, I don't know who they are and can not contact them for photos :(
