So this thing likes to fight

So two days ago I attempted to replace my second door carrier, the front passenger door was bad when i acquired the car but went down with little drama sure I had to re-glue some attachment points and replace some plastic clips but that's expected on a 15 year old car.

I have seen no mention of needing to remove the rear locking mechanism for clearance to remove a rear carrier, but I could see no way around it. so now let me snap the "amazon" purchased carrier cable on the lock mechanism, and shit that's not happening with my thumb power. Dissemble and force said plastic part on the ball with pump-pliers and all is good?

Connect cables slide the plastic bits into slot and remount locking mech everything seems fine, door opens from outside and in, put door card back on all is good.

Take middle daughter out for a mountain biking trip and lock the car and then door can't be opened from outside or inside so i quit until today. more later

So yeah i was depressed and skipped working on it yesterday, but this morning I pulled the rear seat booster and then managed to get the rear door card off with the door shut. Win :iagree:

So with momentum on my side I pushed down on the lock mechanism and then things worked, so grr the return spring on the lock mech was not pushing hard enough and that super hard to push on plastic part was not helping, so i dug the old cable out the trash.

and that part did not fit and while drilling it out i ruined my shirt

its all good and that problem is solved and then i went to far
