Trunk Emblem Replacment/Upgrade?
 

I just wanted to share a little something extra I did today. The emblem on my 4.8iS was fading away so I needed to replace it. Overall extremely easy except I added a red LED ring around the emblem. I tied the light into the tag lights so it's only on with the lights. Nothing much but I just wanted to share.

Looks awesome! I'd do a white LED ring on mine if I did that, since my 4.6 is black.

Nothing special. The LED came with plenty of wire and I jut tapped into the tag lights. Pretty simple other than the fact that BMW didn't leave hardly ANY extra wire for the plug on the hatch! LED ring mounted perfect inside the chrome housing and the emblem just needed the 2 prongs snipped off to push into the LED ring. Pretty straightforward. I like the outcome for now. I needed a new emblem and saw the ring and said why not lol it was like $12 bucks.
