I made a perfect tool for removing cut out of an old quick clamp bar but I managed to leave at a clients. So I quick whipped up a decent solution for free:

A metal bar about 1/8 x 3/8 bent in to a "U" upside down and hooked on the little tabs and another metal bar to push it around.

It slipped off a couple times but worked great.

I tried to upload the video but it gave me an error.

I know it's a bit redic to pay for a tool I may oh use once but I have a bunch of friends with Bimmers who will all want to use this tool so I can buy it and it can be used many times within this city alone.

I enjoy justifying new or special tools based on the labor savings verses that of a independent shop. Even if you place a realistic $ value on your time it generally works out very favorablly. If not, use it as a reward for your good work.

That one paid for itself already
