Adding e53 to inpa
I spent hours installing inpa 6.4.3 got it working but it doesn't show e53. I was able to pull engine codes by selecting e65 n62. Can I add e53 files somehow or can I select another car that would possibly have all the same drivetrain and modules?

Good day!
Yes, you can change one of the existing selections to E53... I had to do the same thing and actually found it by accident... Let me access my memory as to how to go about doing it... One second... Be right back... Edit: Okay, my memory wasn't pulling the correct data... I had to pull up the program on my computer... Took me a minute, but I found it... Go into C/EC-APPS/INPA/CFGDAT and find INPA in a text document... The "TYPE" might says "Configurations settings" It will probably be the only "INPA" option in that folder... If it won't open automatically, "open with" and pick notepad... The first couple lines will be in german... But scroll down until you see: F2 =F01 F2_Text =F01 F2_ARCHIV =SGBD_F01 Yada yada yada... Change any of the first few F# sets to E53 in all three locations "F01" is above... Close the notepad window and save (overwrite existing)... I doubt you have to restart computer... Open INPA and see if your E53 is in the F2 or F3 or F4 spot you picked... Test it.... Let me know if this helped!! Cheers!! |
Ok thanks I will try tomorrow and post the results
