My solution to Home Depot runs is to put down moving blankets in the trunk area so nothing gets dirty or scratched. I've transported scrap metal and giant bags of toxic garage waste in my X5 and in the Range Rover I previously owned without making a mess— way better than wasting time and money renting a truck. Then again, I only paid $3500 for my X5 4.6 so I don't feel bad using it for stuff like that.

I think I'll just use my 2016 rav for all the Home Depot runs (don't think my wife will like that)

A big influence on value will be underside condition. All wheel drive SUVs are the "go-to" vehicle when roads are treated for ice-snow. Almost 15 yrs of this can reduce value.

Truck never saw snow until I purchased it. The truck was babied and kept in a garage.

Nice 4.8. $19.95 for pickup at Home Depot for the big stuff. One of those big blue plastic tarps, from Home Depot, for the stuff that will fit in the back. Develop a heavy foot worthy of a 4.8 to relieve construction stress.

Bcred I think I will take her for a drive today and feel her power. I have always babied her and never pushed her past 75 and not more than 3k RPM. I have also never used the Sport more or M mode. Maybe it's time to wake up the beast

BMWs need to be operated at maximum volumetric efficiency (WOT) regularly, both for the good of the vehicle and the good of your soul.

As an FYI in So Ca a clean imola red 4.8is with tan interior and only 52k miles sat for well over a month before selling. Listed for only $10000. Clean carfax. I almost bought it and now wish I had. There is also a silver 4.8is with 109k miles or so, looks clean and the price is well under $8k now. Been dropped a few times in the past 2 months. I would prefer a stock car over someone playing with mods.

Worth and value are two different things, depending on whether we are the buyer or seller.

When my I am ready to part with my X5 I will likely just give it to charity for the tax benefit. Avoid dealing with tire kickers and there are a ton of E53's on the market at any one time.

My X5 4.8is is all oem with ththe exception of the dynavin radio. VSS was done with oem parts and all parts that are replaced are with OEM parts. I know what my truck is worth and I have already decided to stay with it.
