Hi Kevin,

If this still is a worry to you, you could try a borescope camera from Harbor Freight that might fit into the oil drain plug hole (check dimensions of each before purchase) and then use the camera on your next oil drain to see if you can locate the o-ring.

Once located, it then becomes a fishing expedition with a claw or end of a hangar to get it to the drain hole. :dunno: :dunno:

Not such a huge worry thanks to all that responded and assured me it should do no harm.

Probably bothers me more that I made such a stupid mistake!
I first fit the O-ring on the tube but it was getting stuck that last 1/4 inch. I puled it out and thought maybe the O-ring sits on the ridge of that hole about an inch in. I tried to fit it on that ridge, it twisted and fell in.

I reused the the old O ring, fit on the tube first and forced it in.

I will fish for it every time i change the oil.
