Too far for me... but assuming it's in decent cosmetic condition this would be good from someone to pick up and fix.

Do you know if the head is warped/cracked or if just the head gasket popped?

It's pushing the coolant out the expansion tank

Everyone will get that point so I understand your struggle.

Was the x over heated? If not it's likely just the gasket. Have the head decked, put a new gasket on, and you're on your way.

However, I don't recommend doing the above if your heart isn't in it. Just cut and run, take the first $500 that comes your way.

Good day!

Cheers!

Someone here's getting a bargain.....just parts alone..........;)......and a big headache depending on your patience and know how!

.....to others ......it could be a simple fix......if you were near me......I'll buy it without hesitation.

GLWS!

thanks for the replies.i have the special tool for working on the head from a previous x5 i had
the cam holder the chain tensioner tool and the cam aligning tool and the tool that goes in the flywheel to hold it in place at top dead center but it's just a long process job to me specially trying to get the bottom bolts of the exhaust manifolds but that's just me at the moment.
