P1092 what to do? Is it real?

I read many responses to the P1092 code and learned that it is a generic code, not necessarily a BMW code. I learned that it may be a vacum leak, a broken cat/failing cat, a bad disa valve, a failing MAF and a failing fuel pump and or regulator. What I can't figure out is how I can be getting 19 mpg around town, 20 highway. Burning no oil and leaking no fluids. I have 2K miles on the updated D.vanos and the darn X is driving like new. It has that classic snap acceleration at any speed with smooth shifting. Granted this is an older X, 01, 3.0 222215, K miles. I can't figure out what is supposed to be wrong with it except that it coded; lean mixture bank 2.
What should I be expecting to replace or repair over the next few months?

Ever fix those?

I have the same issue. Just replaced the entire PVC system, cleaned the idle air control valve and replaced the fuel pump because it failed. I have a 2006 3.0 with 210,600 miles on her. Oh and Disa valve works fine, cleaned MAF as well.

Thanks

Can you get live data (from an app like Torque) for your O2 sensors and fuel trims? At that mileage maybe one, or both pre-cats are going.

Live data

I may be able to. I have both the Icarly for BMW as well as a Foxwell unit.
What should I be looking for?

First check the fuel delivery. Look for fuel trims. Check them at idle, and then again under load.

If the above checks out I would check that the voltages for the 2 pre-cat O2's are within spec. Especially the one for bank 2 since that's what that P-code is pointing at.
