Has anybody ACC on his X5???
Have u ever seen how that green arrow up has lighted for rear suspension on dash board? |
I've only seen a video of the ACC system being used...and it was by an e38 owner from the Netherlands (Big Ed aka Homerraas). :)
The level warning light illuminates differently depending on if you have the low or the high cluster. If you have the low cluster...the the little icon of the car with the arrows illuminates. If you have the high cluster...you'll get a text warning in the 20 digit alpha/numeric display if there's an issue with your leveling system (even though the icon can be seen in the cluster): |
I found thread about it and video:
Two dashboard symbols / lights ??? - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums Looks like we have only same cluster from e38??? :D I saw explanation that arrow on the right is for rear self leceling suspension |
The only K-bus car to come with it was the E38 ECE, so used parts are very limited. A new radar is thousands.
I would attempt it on a US E38, but no way on the E53. A major part of ACC is the DSC III system which we do not have. I don't recall seeing any provisions in our DSC system coding for ACC or even DCC last I checked. Not to mention, there isn't anywhere to mount the radar properly. |
I have this ACC light on my dash, came on when the vehicle overheated. I fixed the overheat situation, but don't know how to get rid of this light lol.
The cluster on my x5 2002 3.0 is probably from M5 E39 Disregard the mileage, I reset it for fun when I swapped the cluster :) https://i.ibb.co/K6dZvVP/20240414-134307.jpg |
