Tire pressure and auto high beam retrofit
Hi!
Do u know where is RDC module located for bmw x5? I do not have pressure...I tgought may be it is easy to retrofit! RDC module is very cheap here! I found how to retrofit...but it is not for x5... looks like it is complicated :) Tire Pressure Monitor Retrofit - PART 2 Plus I found how to retrofit automatic high beam... not that hard! https://youtu.be/D0bJSAcF8xk |
are you going to do a DIY for the automatic high beam? all I know is that the e9X is different than the e53 on how the computers communicate. that said it might not work properly.

I am looking for info... I thought main thing was headlamp and rain sensor on windscreen

On pre 2004 X5's, the RDC module is located behind the glove box in the module carrier along with the general module. 2004-2006 uses the RPA system via DXC which does not use individual wheel sensors, rather, the rotational speed of each wheel is measured. GL with retrofitting RDC. You will need to install the antennas in each wheel well, purchase five sensors, wiring harness, K bus line, new SZM (switching center with TPMS button), and recode Kombi, DSC, RDC modules, pair sensors with RDC in DIS.
You cannot retrofit FLA to an E53. There are no provisions for it in KOMBI or LCM coding, and the LCM is simply not compatible to switch highbeams via the canbus. Also, E53's use a hardwired highbeam switch and HB's cannot be controlled via canbus. FLA is however an E70+ option. |
Thank you! Looks like bluetooth option is more easy :) but unfortunately device can pair with one device!
