How to repair broken vanos mounting stud?
 

Hi All,

I broke the second vanos mounting stud on the bottom left side while remounting the vanos to the head. How can I repair it? The photo red rectangle is above the bolt not over it. I used an online photo editor that did not work as expected.

Can't tell from the photo; how much is left? Stud extractor, or double nut it, lock them together and use a wrench on the inner to back it out. Or if only a stub, try a vicegrip face first and use a wrench on the tip.

The photo is from last year before I broke the stud;) I got so frustrated in January when it broke I decided to get back to it when I was less busy. There is a little nub left with maybe a couple threads based on what I felt with my finger.

If it's not leaking I would just leave it.
