GrayGreen 442

I haven't seen this color on any other E53 X5 in the last 3 years Iv'e owned it. There are a few in Europe/Russia. There is a wrecked one in the US. Is there a BMW X5 list that shows any production numbers by the color and country?

There's a couple near me, a mix of diesels and V8. That colour is obviously more popular over here. I really like it!

Is this GrayGreen? (you didn't post a pic and this was the first images that showed up doing a google search) This is a 2002 e53...and by the info in your sig, yours is a pre-facelift model, too.

I can't recall seeing this color on facelift models...so that would also add to it being on the rare side of optioned colors.

EDIT: looked up the exterior color chart...GRAY GREEN was only offered in 2002 & 2003 model years...so that would result in its rarity

Qsilver7 - that's the one I find, it would have made a good parts car. Thanks for the color sheets.

I have this color, haven't seen one other like it so far here. All the other colors are everywhere though

I can get production numbers by color for my Corvette right off the internet why not BMW? Why is it so secret?

So, many years down the road no BMW owners will know how rare a production color is on their vehicle.

The search for info continues.

Besides mine, I've seen three other gray/greens in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since purchasing mine 2006. There aren't many around!

There is a Grey Green one in Wimbledon, UK that is totally beaten up. And it has the beige interior that looks like its had dogs living in it for several years yet still has a valid MOT which amuses me. (Cert of Road worthiness for our American cousins)

There's a 3.0 roaming around Issaquah (suburb of Seattle) that I see regularly. I've seen a handful in this color, and for whatever reason they're all beat up or neglected. I don't think I've ever seen a well maintained one.

I usually only see this color on the 3.0's and that might lend itself to why they are typically on the "well worn" side. It seems owners of the 4.4's and 4.6's care for them better. Probably because they cost more, had more options (typically), etc. Just a guess though.
