MKIV Nav. Help please.

Folks

I have been off the forum for some time and away from BMW. But I'm back in a nice Black 4.8is.

I am attempting to upgrade the Nav OS to the Night Mode with the MSport Splash Screen (I believe V32).

I managed to download a copy of V32 that worked. But not the one with the splash screen. So I tried another version onto a new disc from here:

1994-2010 BMW Navigation System Upgrades: (Computer, Display, Software, Maps) | BMW E39Source

When I insert the disc into my nav system. It says it is not a valid disc and will not proceed any further. I am using the discs etc as the previous download.

On my Disc (downloaded and burned from a MAC!!) I have a .bin .cue .toc file

Am I doing something stupid here? As it appears that the file format is the issue with Nav simply not recognising it?

Did you try burn it on windows?(stupid question sorry)

i did burn it in lower speed and it worked for me:dunno::dunno:

Okay

The answer is: Download the file to a Mac (it is Binary .BIN file) then convert it on your Mac to an ISO file. Then burn the ISO file to DVD. This has worked.

Now if only I could get the Navtweak software to work on a Mac so that I could edit some of the graphics, that would be cool.

Many thanks for the response. Converting the file was the answer.
