Did you get this code after you replaced a part or did you start replacing parts in hope of getting rid of this code? Using OE parts or cheap aftermarket crap from eBay or Amazon?

BMW fault code 236 decimal (EC hex) corresponds to the generic P1093. There's a technical bulletin issued by BMW for fault code 236 (P1093).
Here's the bulletin. Unless you know how to update the DME and have the correct update, maybe it's time to bring it in. chrome-extension://oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm/http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=576546&d=1474205253 |
Thank you sir...I heard about it. I will look in to it. I Believe that was published around 2003???

Can you post Freeze Frame info for the P1093 code?
Log files might also be useful. If you are using OBDFusion, also run and post a Diagnostic Report for review. |
