Torque spec for M62 rear coolant cover plate?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys,
I did a search but couldn't find the torque wrench setting for the hex bolts on the rear coolant cover plate for M62. Can someone point me in the righr direction? Thanks! |
I've had that info somewhere.
IIRC, it's 10, 15 or 22NM. I'll try to find it and post it. |
Thanks! BTW do you use any sealant on those hex bolts? e.g. permatex ultra grey on the thread? When I removed them some of them were loose.

I would guess 10Nm would be sufficient since there are so many and that's the same torque for M62 WP which has similar gasket style. You could use medium blue loctite to play it safe. |
Is it value 5AZ on this chart (10Nm as suggested)?

All this can be compared through real oem but I don't why would BMW change anything drastically when it comes to cover, gasket and bolts. |
