Fan Blower has become intermittant
 

I not so long ago swapped out my AC Compressor after it failed. Wife was in the car alone, came home sweating and telling me the AC was not working. I got in and it was working fine for two weeks until we were out for a drive and I was teasing her about not knowing how to use the AC... As the words left my mouth, sure enough the blower stopped... didn't matter if AC was on or off... in a minute or so it came back on. Unreal. It did it once again about a week later. The past week, it's been running fine. Any thought??? I also changed out the toothy looking piece a few years ago when the blower would go on full blast and the controls seemingly didn't have any effect. Not sure what it might be this time.

Final stage resistor?

yeah, I replaced that once already. Could be, but i thought it usually would put the fan on full speed regardless of setting.
