Air suspension problem solved
 

Hi All
Started a previous thread in relation to my X5 sitting extremely low when I got up in the morning and not rising when I pressed the open button on the key fob. When found in this state I connected INPA and could raise the car using this method whereby the car lasted the whole day as it normally should.
I was certain that two air suspension units wouldn't fail at once along with possible failure of the compressor. Anyhow I was away from home for approximately 3 weeks and came home to find the car as expected sitting extremely low. Connected INPA and managed to raise the car but this time a grunting and creaking noise was prevalent although the car did rise. Slid my not too insubstantial frame under the car and sprayed WD40 on the sensor linkage and hey! presto air suspension now operative again.Just to make sure I slid my hot frame under the car again and sprayed said linkage with a teflon spray and now a few weeks later all is sound.

I spray mine down with clear lithium grease when I put on my summer tires yearly.. Just part of the maintenance :)
