P0341 code and stalls
2004 x5 3.0i .Code says it is related to cam sensor bank a? Is this intake side or exhaust? She stalls an awful lot and wife is stuck at home with three kids and not terribly happy about it! Let me know! Thanks :dunno:

I'd replace both if they haven't already been replaced.
The exhaust CPS is extremely easy to do, maybe 5 min job? Exhaust PN#12147518628 About $100 for genuine bmw part or hella makes one for about $60 I guess start there since it's easy and cheaper. Intake side will take a little longer, here is DIY: https://xoutpost.com/articles/x5/eng...-x5-3-0-a.html |
Just did the intake sensor on mine today - same symptoms, code, stalling, low on power, etc.
Mostly follow the DIY. I wanted to add two improvements, but I can't reply to the thread (I guess it's too old). 1) you don't need to remove the oil line. 2) when you unplug the old sensor, tape a 2ft long piece of wire to it, and use that chaser wire to pull the new sensor wire back down. Otherwise, you'll have a helluva time fishing the new sensor wire back down to the connector. Good luck! P.S. - I've had bad luck with aftermarket replacement sensors lasting only a few months so this is one part where I opt for the BMW part even though it's like $40 more. |
